Former Liverpool favourite Jan Molby has urged Brendan Rodgers to give Adam Lallana a run of games "to get his Anfield career off the ground".
The 27-year-old has started just five times in the league since signing for the Reds in a £25m summer move from Southampton, but Molby believes that he should be a more regular fixture in the starting lineup.
Molby told the Daily Star: "Liverpool have been willing to give Mario Balotelli a consistent run of games in the team – so why not Lallana? If he is fit and ready to go then I can't see why he's not in the team.
"Lallana is a proven Premier League player. After recovering from an injury picked up in the summer, he's been in and out of the side.
"He appears to be the type of player who needs a run of games to recapture the form he showed for Southampton. Liverpool could give him a run of ten games now to get his Anfield career off the ground."
Molby made 218 appearances for Liverpool in an eight-year period during the 1980s and 90s.
