Liverpool youngster Adam Morgan was unable to contain his delight after he scored his first goal for the club in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Toronto FC.
The Reds were heading for defeat in what was Brendan Rodgers's first game in charge before the 18-year-old tapped home an equaliser in Canada.
"I can't describe it, I've been dreaming of it for my whole life," Morgan told Liverpool's official website. "I know it's only pre-season and it was a tap-in but they all count. I'm over the moon to have scored it.
"The experience has been great. I want to thank the manager and his backroom staff for trusting me to come in and come to pre-season in America, I've loved every minute from start to finish and that just topped it off.
"My dad would have cried at that goal because he wants me to do it just as much as I do, and that goal was for him and my family. My nan passed away a short while ago and that was for her."
The Merseysiders continue their pre-season preparations on Wednesday when they take on Roma at the Boston Red Sox's Fenway Park.
