Aston Villa's new signing Jores Okore has revealed that he takes inspiration from his heroes Marcel Desailly and Daniel Agger.
The 20-year-old became Paul Lambert's second signing of the summer after agreeing to join from FC Nordsjaelland for a fee of £4m.
The Denmark international admits that he looked up to former Chelsea defender Desailly when growing up and, as a young player, has learned a lot from compatriot Agger.
Okore said: "I really looked up to Marcel Desailly when I was young and I still do. He was my favourite player and hopefully I can play like him and bring a lot into the Premier League like he did.
Speaking about Agger, the youngster added: "I have talked to him a little bit about the Premier League and how tough it is to play, but he thinks I've got the skill set for making it in this league."
Okore was linked with a number of Premier League clubs before deciding to join Villa this summer.
