Liverpool have reportedly rejected a £25m bid from Manchester City for winger Raheem Sterling.
The 20-year-old has been widely tipped with a move away from Anfield this summer, having rejected the offer of a lucrative new deal from the Reds.
It is claimed by Sky Sports News that Man City have now made an official approach for the England international's services, but their initial offer, which included an additional £5m in add-ons, has been turned down.
Liverpool will instead hold out for £50m, with Real Madrid and Arsenal among those also said to be interested.
Sterling, who joined the Merseyside outfit's academy in 2010, scored 11 goals in all competitions last season.
