Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the "framework" of a new deal is in place for him to sign at the end of the season.
Recent reports emerged claiming that the Northern Irishman will commit his future to Anfield by signing a four-year contract extension.
"I've been in discussion with club and there's a framework of a deal that's in place, but I've always said it will be the end of the season," Rodgers said in Friday's press conference.
"I want nothing to detract from what has been a great season for ourselves and hopefully we'll resolve that over the course of the off-season."
Liverpool can win the Premier League title on Sunday if they beat Newcastle United at Anfield and Manchester City lose to West Ham United.
