Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he is looking to make improvements to his defence this summer.
Despite a free-scoring philosophy in attack last season, the Reds conceded 51 goals in all competitions and Rodgers is now keen to tighten up his backline before the start of the new campaign.
"It's a place where we want to be better, there's no doubt about that," he told Sky Sports News. "It wasn't good enough to concede that many goals, considering the amount of possession we had and amount of goals we scored.
"Generally of course the whole team will be looking to improve, and there are areas that we will specifically be looking at between now and August."
Liverpool return to pre-season action tonight (Sunday) when they face Greek side Olympiacos in Chicago as part of the International Champions Cup.
