Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has hinted that new signings Victor Moses, Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho could feature in Monday's match against Swansea City.
The trio joined Liverpool on transfer deadline day, with Ilori and Sakho signing permanent deals and Moses arriving on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
Rodgers stressed that he brought the players in with one eye on the more distant future, but is confident that they are also capable of contributing to the perfect start that his side have made to the new Premier League season.
"I'm sure there will be a part to play for some of them. They have been brought in for the longer term. Victor is on a season-long loan and I've brought him in to be a big part of what we're doing, as with the other two boys," Rodgers told reporters.
"We've made a strong start, there's a lot of confidence and belief in the group. These players will come in and add to that, and provide great competition. We'll see, I'm analysing and assessing the players for the first day since they all came back from international duty. They looked very good this morning and we'll see where we're at.
"The guys will be involved and you will find out an hour before kickoff on Monday night."
Meanwhile, Rodgers was named as the Barclays Premier League manager of the month for August earlier today, while striker Daniel Sturridge picked up the player of the month award.
