Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that Jordan Ibe can become a regular in the team following his performances in pre-season.
The 19-year-old winger scored a spectacular goal for the Reds on Friday in their 1-1 draw with a Malaysia XI in Kuala Lumpur.
Rodgers has now tipped the youngster to continue to impress and break into the Liverpool first team.
"Ibe has been outstanding," he is quoted as saying by ESPN. "He has staked a real claim to start the season in the team. Wonderful goal, wonderful finish.
"He was very good and he has been working very hard. There are a number of qualities I think that he has. He will only improve."
Ibe spent part of last season on loan at Derby County, scoring five goals in 24 appearances for the Championship club.
