Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has praised Divock Origi for his contribution during the team's pre-season win over True Thai All Stars.
The striker scored on his Reds debut in Bangkok on Tuesday as the Merseysiders earned a comfortable 4-0 victory.
Origi, 20, joined Liverpool from Lille last summer before returning to the French club on a season-long loan.
Having missed a handful of chances before finding the net, Rodgers believes that the Belgian youngster showed good mental strength to keep attacking the home side.
"I thought he was excellent," Rodgers told the club's official website. "You can see his movement and what really pleased me tonight was his persistence. He had a couple of chances that he missed that he would want to score. But he kept going, he was very positive, and obviously he showed how good he is in the air."
Liverpool are back in pre-season action on Thursday against Brisbane Roar in Queensland.
