Wayne Rooney has said that Liverpool look the most likely to win the Premier League title this season.
The Englishman, who has spent two spells at fellow Merseyside club Everton, is currently spending the final months of his spell with DC United before linking up with Derby County in January.
However, in an interview with IFL TV at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, Rooney gave his take on the race for the top-flight crown, admitting that his former club's rivals have looked 'stronger' than Manchester City.
The 33-year-old said: "In my opinion, Liverpool look the strongest.City are a fantastic team. I think Liverpool have improved on last year, whereas City have stayed at that level of great consistency, so I think Liverpool."
Rooney netted 28 times from 117 appearances during his two spells with Everton.
