West Bromwich Albion striker Markus Rosenberg is hopeful of making his first start for the club against Liverpool on Wednesday.
The Baggies welcome Brendan Rodgers's side to The Hawthorns in the third round of the League Cup, with the 29-year-old eyeing just his second appearance since joining in the summer.
"It would be great to start as I played 15 minutes on Saturday and hopefully I will get a chance to start against Liverpool," he told West Brom's official website.
"It has been a long time since I started a game but I've had one game with the Under-21s and I also played at Yeovil in the last round so hopefully I will get another chance against Liverpool.
Rosenberg has scored six goals in 33 games for Sweden.
