Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has broken a Premier League goalscoring record with his opener against Crystal Palace in Saturday's Premier League clash.
The Senegalese winger stepped out onto the Anfield turf aiming to score for the ninth game in a row against the Eagles, which would have also taken him up to 100 strikes in red.
Despite a relatively slow start to the game, Mane drew first blood in the 43rd minute of the contest, as the former Southampton man was on hand to hammer home a rebound after Vicente Guaita had saved Mohamed Salah's header.
Mane's strike on Saturday has seen him become the first player ever to score in nine consecutive Premier League games against a single opponent, while he has also become the 18th player to net 100 goals for Liverpool.
The 29-year-old had witnessed his teammate Salah hit a century of goals for the Merseyside giants in last week's win against Leeds United, and he now boasts 13 goals from 14 league games against Palace.
