Sadio Mane has reportedly told friends that he "misses Liverpool" after joining Bayern Munich in the summer.

The 30-year-old completed a £35m move to the reigning Bundesliga champions and has featured 22 times in all competitions for the Bavarians.

Football Insider reports that Mane has privately admitted to friends that he misses his former club and the Premier League.

The Senegalese forward made 269 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side, scoring 120 goals and assisting 49 in his Anfield career.

A second-placed finish in the Ballon d'Or was his reward for 23 goals last season as he played a key part in the Reds' chase for an unprecedented quadruple, which saw them ultimately come up short by two matches.

A transfer to the Bavarian club was then agreed, with a year remaining on his Anfield contract, and has yielded 11 goals and four assists in 22 games so far.
