Sports Mole rounds up the final standings in the 2022 men's Ballon d'Or voting, with Real Madrid's Karim Benzema taking the top prize.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has won his first Ballon d'Or courtesy of his stunning performances during the 2021-22 campaign.

The 34-year-old helped Los Blancos to the league and Champions League double, scoring 44 goals and setting up 15 more in just 46 games across all competitions.

Fifteen of those goals came in only 12 Champions League games, while he directly contributed to 39 goals from his 32 La Liga outings.

Those tallies were enough to see him hold off competition from the likes of Sadio Mane, Kevin De Bruyne and Robert Lewandowski to claim top spot, succeeding seven-time Lionel Messi as the world's best player.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the final rankings from the full 25-man shortlist.
