Steve Clarke has left his coaching role with Liverpool.
The 48-year-old had reportedly been keen to quit the club ever since Kenny Dalglish was fired as manager last month.
Following the appointment of Brendan Rodgers, who has taken three of his coaching staff from Swansea City to Anfield, Clarke has now been granted his wish.
Clarke, who has had previous coaching spells with Newcastle United, Chelsea and West Ham United, joined the Reds in January 2011.
Speculation this evening has hinted that he is being lined up for the managerial vacancy at West Bromwich Albion.
Some bookmakers have installed Clarke as the 6/4 favourite to fill the vacancy at the Hawthorns.
