Steven Gerrard has hailed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for bringing back "emotion" to Anfield.
The Reds legend, now playing for Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS, told former teammate Jamie Carragher in the Daily Mail that the charismatic German's approach is well-suited to the club's traditional roots.
"Liverpool have got one of the most emotional managers in the game now," said Gerrard, who has been training with Liverpool during the MLS off-season.
"You've met him and you know it isn't an act, is it? That's the type of man he is and I actually think he is trying to put emotion back into the team and the supporters."
Klopp's charges secured their place in the final of the League Cup in midweek and will bid to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup when they entertain West Ham United at Anfield on Saturday evening.
