Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has claimed that his success at Anfield has been down to the freedom he has been afforded since moving in January 2013.
The Reds forward has netted 20 goals this term, second only to teammate Luis Suarez who has 30, and the 24-year-old said that he has been able to flourish after finding his comfort zone on Merseyside.
Speaking to Clare Balding for BT Sport, Sturridge said: "Since I've come here, I've been able to just be myself.
"In the past I've maybe not felt comfortable, and I'm quite shy. But when I came here, I made it a point to just be myself and be who I wanted to be.
"I feel as though I can just be who I am."
Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League.
