Defender Kostas Tsimikas has acknowledged that he has had a frustrating opening five months at Liverpool.
The Greece international was brought in as direct competition for Andrew Robertson last summer, but has made just three starts and one substitute outing so far.
Tsimikas initially spent time away from the first-team squad due to a positive coronavirus test before later suffering two separate injuries.
However, the left-back is hopeful of game time in the near future after recently making his return to the substitutes' bench.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Tsimikas said: "Every beginning is difficult but for me this one was very, very difficult and frustrating because I had never had injuries before in my previous team.
"I was unlucky, this happens in football, but okay, I am always looking forward. I am a positive guy and I keep going. I fell down two times but I'm here again, 100% fit and ready to help my team."
Tsimikas is expected to remain among the replacements when Liverpool face West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
