Andre Wisdom has insisted that he will return to Liverpool a "better player" following his loan stint at Derby County.
The 21-year-old joined the Rams last October for the remainder of the 2013-14 season, but failed to gain promotion to the Premier League after losing the Championship playoff final to Queens Park Rangers.
"I have had a brilliant time at Derby County and every minute of it has been a real pleasure," Wisdom told the club's official website. "The aim was to come out and play games and I have done that for the last seven months.
"Under Steve McClaren, I think I have grown as a player and a person and when I report back at Liverpool for pre-season training, I'll be a better player for the brilliant experience I have had."
McClaren stated at the end of the season that he wanted to keep Wisdom at Pride Park.
