How Liverpool could line up against Bournemouth

Sports Mole looks at how runaway leaders Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League visit to Bournemouth.

Liverpool will be looking to extend their new club-record run of 32 top-flight matches unbeaten when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

A five-star showing in Wednesday's Merseyside derby against Everton saw the Reds surpass their previous best run in the top flight, maintaining their eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table in the process.

Jurgen Klopp's side will be firm favourites to chalk up another victory this weekend too, with Bournemouth going into the game off the back of four successive defeats.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the league leaders could line up for the contest.

Liverpool can welcome Alisson Becker back from suspension for this match after he served his one-match ban for the red card he received against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Brazilian will be looking for his first clean sheet of the season, while Liverpool as a team have not kept one in any of their last 13 matches across all competitions.

In addition to Alisson, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were part of five changes made by Klopp for the midweek derby, and all of them will be hopeful of being recalled to the starting lineup following their rest.

It is very much rotation season with nine games in December, though, and after Firmino and Salah sat out on Tuesday it could be Sadio Mane's turn for this match despite the forward's sparkling form.

Next week's crucial Champions League showdown with Red Bull Salzburg could well play a part in Klopp's selection too, meaning that Divock Origi might start again following his well-taken brace against Everton.

Naby Keita and Joe Gomez could also benefit from any rotation, while Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana fired reminders of their quality during the derby day rout and will not be too far away from the starting XI.
