Liverpool bounce back from a goal behind to beat Brisbane Roar 2-1 at the Suncorp Stadium.

Strikes by Adam Lallana and James Milner either side of half time have helped Liverpool recover from a goal down to beat Brisbane Roar 2-1.

The Premier League outfit found themselves behind 17 minutes in, but they bounced back to make it two wins from two on their pre-season tour.

A shaky start to things for Mamadou Sakho allowed home debutant Jamie Maclaren to fire away an early shot at goal, but Simon Mignolet was across to cover between the sticks.

Liverpool were finding opportunities harder to come by compared to their clash against a Thailand All-Star side earlier this week, with clear-cut chances proving to be few and far between in the opening throes.

The home side, currently sixth in the A-League ladder, then upped the pressure as the first half wore on and they were duly rewarded 17 minutes in when Dimitri Petratos found a way through.

After being picked out in space on the edge of the box, the attacking midfielder managed to slot the ball beyond the reach of Mignolet to open the scoring.

Liverpool had an instant chance to respond through Danny Ings, who was unable to make the most of fellow new boy Joe Gomez's cross into the box, while only a fine stop from Jamie Young kept out the former Burnley man soon after.

Brendan Rodgers's charges were level prior to the break, however, courtesy of Lallana's second goal of pre-season which came via a well-taken strike from range.

Petratos and Brandon Borrello both saw chances come and go before the half was out, but it was the visitors who came closest to finding the game's third goal when Sakho's header was cleared away off the line.

Both sides took time to find their stride following the restart, and it was not until the hour mark before the first real chance arose at the Suncorp Stadium.

Skipper Jordan Henderson latched on to Ings's pass into the centre of the box, although his attempt did not have enough on it to get the better of Young who got down well.

Devante Clut thought he had restored Roar's advantage when firing in a shot that dipped narrowly wide of goal, as Rodgers made a raft of changes to his side.

The well-balanced contest's decisive moment came 16 minutes from time when an off-balance Milner saw his shot deflect over the stretching arm of Young to bag his first Reds goal.

Jordon Ibe looked to impress Rodgers after being introduced, going a long way to doing exactly that by showing some silky footwork to break free, only for his shot to be kept out by Young.

The closing stages of the contest then trickled out, meaning that Liverpool head to Adelaide on the back of successive victories to date this summer.
