Liverpool won their first match of their Far East and Australia tour this afternoon thanks to a 2-0 victory over an Indonesia XI.
The Reds started the brighter of the two sides and in the ninth minute Philippe Coutinho collected a loose ball to convert into the net from inside the area.
They continued to dominate proceedings for the remainder of the half and they went close to doubling their advantage with 30 minutes played, but Luis Alberto's strike from distance hit the crossbar.
Summer signing Iago Aspas had a good chance to add a second shortly after the restart, but with an open goal at his mercy, he fired the ball over the crossbar.
The tourists did manage to put the game beyond the reach of their hosts in the closing stages when Raheem Sterling rolled the ball into an unguarded net.
