Goals from Steven Caulker and Jonjo Shelvey have earned England Under-21s a 2-0 win over Azerbaijan and moved Stuart Pearce's side within a point of securing qualification for the 2013 European Championships.
The result means that England's youngsters require just a point in their final match against Norway on Monday.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Caulker gave England an early lead in Baku when he headed in from Shelvey's free kick.
After providing the first, the Liverpool midfielder added his own name to the scoresheet in the second half to double the visitors' advantage.
England's qualification will be confirmed later today if Norway fail to beat third-placed Belgium, who are the only nation to beat Pearce's outfit in the competition thus far.
