Raheem Sterling will start for Manchester City tonight in his first return to Anfield since his summer switch from Liverpool.
In a rerun of Sunday's League Cup final, City manager Manuel Pellegrini makes three changes to the starting XI that helped secure the trophy.
Joe Hart is back in between the sticks, despite Wilfredo Caballero's heroics at Wembley, while Pablo Zabaleta displaces Bacary Sagna in the back four.
The other change is an enforced one after Yaya Toure failed a late fitness test on a foot injury he picked up last time out. Jesus Navas comes back into the midfield alongside David Silva and Sterling as support for Sergio Aguero up front.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp makes five changes from the side that played 120 minutes three days ago as the Reds look to go seventh in the Premier League table.
Philippe Coutinho, whose late goal forced extra time in the tie on Sunday, drops to the bench while Daniel Sturridge plays no part in the fixture after suffering from cramp.
As a result Divock Origi is picked to lead the line for the Reds, with Adam Lallana coming in alongside Roberto Firmino in a three-pronged attacking force.
The other changes all come at the back, where only Nathaniel Clyne retains his place in the XI. Lucas Leiva has been ruled out with a muscular injury, Mamadou Sakho is rested after a collision of heads at Wembley and Alberto Moreno drops to the bench as Kolo Toure, Dejan Lovren and Jon Flanagan come in.
