How Liverpool could line up against Watford

Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Watford, including the prolific record of their front three against the Hornets.

Liverpool will be looking for a record 19th successive Premier League victory when they travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford on Saturday evening.

The champions-elect survived a serious scare to overcome West Ham United at Anfield on Monday night, but their 3-2 triumph was ultimately enough to equal Manchester City's mark of 18 wins on the bounce, in addition to restoring their 22-point lead at the top.

The Reds are now only four wins away from securing the title for the first time since 1990, and they will be expected to take another giant stride towards that inevitability against an out-of-form Watford side struggling against relegation.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Jurgen Klopp could line his side up for the contest.

Out: Jordan Henderson (hamstring), James Milner (muscle), Xherdan Shaqiri (calf), Nathaniel Clyne (knee)
Doubtful: None

Liverpool will once again be without captain Jordan Henderson, who picked up a hamstring injury against Atletico Madrid and is expected to spend around three weeks on the sidelines as a result.

Naby Keita replaced the skipper in the starting XI against West Ham on Monday night but struggled to make an impact, whereas Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's cameo off the bench should be enough to earn him a spot this weekend.

Klopp may be considering some changes with an FA Cup tie away to Chelsea coming up next week, but he has prioritised the Premier League throughout the season and so the more likely scenario is that the Reds will once again be at full strength from the players available.

James Milner could be back in contention for the FA Cup trip to Chelsea after missing the West Ham game with a slight muscle strain which will also rule him out of this one.

The front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will be licking their lips at coming up against a Watford side that they have enjoyed facing down the years, with all three owning prolific records in this fixture.

Salah boasts the best of the lot - he has only failed to score in one of his five previous games against the Hornets and has plundered eight goals in that time, in addition to two assists.

The support acts are not bad either, with Firmino directly contributing to eight goals in seven games and Mane nine goals in six games for Liverpool against Watford.
