As much as Liverpool supporters will be pining for incomings ahead of the 2022-23 season, Jurgen Klopp's side will almost certainly be trimmed down in the summer transfer window.
It is difficult to pinpoint a desperate area of need for the title-chasing Reds, although the old guard of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane has already been broken up amid reports of the latter two potentially failing to commit their futures to the club beyond 2023.
While Klopp surely cannot envisage starting the new campaign without either attacker by his side, a particular quintet of Merseyside players are seemingly set for their last swan songs before the season is up.

Despite his cult-hero status and plethora of last-minute goals, Divock Origi has just never been able to establish himself as a consistent fixture of the Liverpool frontline.
There is certainly no shame in playing second fiddle to the likes of Salah, Mane and Firmino, and Origi's qualities as a super sub have still been evident this term - Wolverhampton Wanderers rings a particularly loud bell.
However, with less than six months left to run on his current contract, Origi - who is yet to start a Premier League game in the 2021-22 season - is widely expected to end his eight-year Liverpool stint in the summer.
AC Milan are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign the 26-year-old, whose contributions to the Anfield club will not be forgotten in a hurry.
The writing has been on the wall for Loris Karius at Liverpool for some time now, with the 28-year-old shot-stopper exiled from Klopp's squad and all but guaranteed to head elsewhere soon.
Still without a Liverpool appearance since his error-strewn Champions League final performance in 2018, Karius became a regular fixture for Besiktas during his loan stint in Turkey before an ill-fated spell back home with Union Berlin.
Some expected Liverpool to try to recoup a small fee for the out-of-favour German in January, but Karius remained on the books at Anfield and sees his existing contract expire at the end of the season.
Where Karius ends up remains to be seen, but after 49 appearances and 22 clean sheets for the club, the shot-stopper will undoubtedly be best remembered for his horror evening in Kyiv.
Once a revered name in the Reds' backline alongside Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez has endured quite the fall from grace since his serious knee injury and has become something of a forgotten man on Merseyside.
The arrival of Ibrahima Konate and strong form of Joel Matip has not helped the 24-year-old's cause, with Gomez making just 15 appearances in all competitions this season and earning just 102 minutes of Premier League action.
Possessing a deal that runs until the summer of 2024, Gomez is reported to be pushing for an exit from Anfield in the summer transfer window, and the versatile defender will seemingly not be short of suitors.
Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Fulham are all being linked with a move for Gomez, who still has plenty of years left at the top level.

As is the case with Karius, Adrian's contract with Liverpool is up at the end of the season, and the Spaniard's prospects of a short-term renewal seem slim to none, unless Klopp views his experience as a useful factor in the dressing room.
Adrian certainly performed valiantly at Preston in his only appearance of the season so far, but the exit door is surely looming for the ex-West Ham United stopper.
Forking out £35m to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal in the summer of 2017 was risky business at the time for Liverpool, and despite a few fleeting moments of quality, it has not paid off.
A spate of injuries has not helped the 28-year-old - who has played 133 games for the Reds but has missed a further 74 - and starts in the Premier League have been hard to come by for the midfielder this term.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was also hooked just after the hour mark against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup after a less-than-convincing display, and his deal with the Reds is set to expire in the summer of 2023.
The midfielder needs a major turnaround in fortunes between now and May to warrant a new deal from the Liverpool hierarchy, with the club otherwise under pressure to cut their losses and recoup a fee for the former Southampton youngster this year.
