The agent of Fabio Borini has revealed that his client is keen to leave Liverpool because he feels like a "lion in a cage" at Anfield.
The Italian, who made just 18 appearances in all competitions last season, has been deemed surplus to requirements on Merseyside after a trying spell with the Reds.
Speculation had mounted that Lazio were keen to sign the 24-year-old this summer, and although his agent Marco De Marchi failed to divulge the interested parties, he insists that Borini is keen to quit.
"Fabio wants a new experience," De Marchi told Corriere dello Sport. "We expected more consideration from Liverpool. There are teams from all over Europe interested in him.
"Top clubs in Europe are keen on him, from the Premier League to the Bundesliga and there also clubs in Italy, but many clubs in Italy have had coaching changes and that has slowed things down.
"He has no preference, he just wants a team that gives him a clear chance to prove himself. Right now he feels like a lion in a cage."
Borini is contracted to Liverpool until 2017.
