Liverpool centre-back Daniel Agger admits that he is uncertain about his future at the club having been left out of key matches towards the end of last season.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has admitted that he was unhappy with being left out of the starting lineup during the latter stages of last season.

Agger was replaced in the starting XI by Mamadou Sakho having picked up an injury, with Brendan Rodgers opting to stick with the French centre-back for key matches against Manchester City and Chelsea despite Agger being back to full fitness.

The 29-year-old admitted that he was uncertain about his future at the club, but insisted that he was not yet thinking beyond the upcoming internationals with Denmark.

"It definitely wasn't great. But I don't make the decisions. I think it is because the manager doesn't think that I'm good enough," Agger is quoted as saying by Ekstra Bladet.

"I don't know [if I'll be at the club next season]. That's up to the manager. I can't go and put myself on the team sheet. I'm no one's third choice.

"I'm not thinking about my future. Now my focus is on the next international games with Denmark and then I'm looking forward to a long five-week holiday. My body and my mind needs to relax."

Agger made 20 league appearances in all for Liverpool last season as the Reds fell just short of a first title in 24 years.
