Barcelona have said that they will meet the release clause in Luis Suarez's contract with Liverpool, according to reports.
The Premier League side are believed to have been in talks with the Spanish club over the sale of the striker, who is currently serving a four-month ban for biting an opponent.
According to BBC Sport, the La Liga side have confirmed that they will meet the release clause, which is thought to be in the region of £70m to £80m, in order to bring the Uruguay international to Camp Nou during this summer's transfer window.
However, the report claims that the move cannot be completed yet as Barcelona are waiting to establish whether Alexis Sanchez is willing to move to Anfield as part of the deal.
Reports in the Spanish media earlier this evening suggested that the two clubs had already agreed a fee in the region of £63m.
