Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer has rubbished reports linking Mario Gotze with a move to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp, who took charge at Anfield in October, is believed to be considering a move for the £37.2m-rated German World Cup winner.
Klopp knows Gotze well due to the pair's time together at Borussia Dortmund, where the midfielder spent four years of his senior career.
However, Sammer has brushed off the speculation insisting that Bayern will keep hold of one of their star players.
"Every day new nonsense comes along - that is all I am going to say on this," Sammer told Bild.
Gotze has been out of action since October with a groin injury.
