Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has warned Jurgen Klopp against making any "panic" buys during the ongoing transfer window.
The German boss hinted last night that the current injury problems at Anfield may force him to bolster his squad before the end of the month.
However, despite having acknowledged that the playing staff does need fresh faces, Carragher insisted that Klopp should wait until the summer if the right players are not available now.
"The squad is not deep enough, but I don't think as a manager and a club you want to buy someone now in a panic and maybe regret it for next season," he told reporters.
"If he can get the right player that he wants now, get him. If not, bide your time and wait for the summer."
The Reds have 11 senior players sidelined with fitness complaints, including Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson.
