Bournemouth are reportedly hoping to take young striker Dominic Solanke on loan from Liverpool for the second half of the season.
The Cherries are rumoured to be on the lookout for a new attacking player ahead of the January window, having also been linked with Preston North End's Callum Robinson.
With Jermain Defoe being offered to Championship sides, The Sun suggests that Bournemouth could move to bring in Solanke.
However, the Reds are said to be seeking assurances that the former Chelsea product will not just warm the bench on a weekly basis, as has been the case for Defoe.
Bournemouth are expected to face competition from Premier League rivals Huddersfield Town for Solanke's signature, while Rangers and Galatasaray are also in the running.
