Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan has reportedly been given the opportunity to join Burnley on a season-long loan deal.
Flanagan recently signed a new three-year contract with the Reds but after spending much of the last two years on the sidelines, manager Jurgen Klopp wants to see the full-back play regular first-team football.
The 23-year-old may struggle to get that on Merseyside with Nathaniel Clyne in front of him in the pecking order, and according to the Liverpool Echo, that has resulted in Klopp giving Flanagan the opportunity to link up with Burnley.
Celtic have also been credited with an interest in Flanagan but Klopp's preference could be to see his player compete in the Premier League.
