Inter Milan are reportedly set to rival Real Madrid in their pursuit of Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.
The 27-year-old has repeatedly been linked with a move to Zinedine Zidane's Madrid, despite winning the Champions League with the Reds last season and again lifting the Premier League Golden Boot.
Reports in Spain now claim that Inter, who have won six games out of six in Serie A this season under Antonio Conte, are planning to make a big move to acquire the Egyptian's signature.
The report states that the Nerazzurri would be prepared to offer Salah €18m (£16m) a season for four years, a deal which would make him the second-highest paid player in Italian football behind Juventus and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Such a deal would come close to doubling the former Chelsea man's current salary at Liverpool, with Inter's transfer rivals Madrid expected to only offer him a salary in the region of €15m (£13.3m) per season.
Salah has scored 77 goals in 115 appearances for the Reds since joining Jurgen Klopp's side back in 2017.
