Inter Milan are reportedly willing to include Valentino Lazaro as a makeweight in any deal for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Inter and fellow Serie A giants Juventus are thought to have joined the race for Werner, although Premier League leaders Liverpool are still in pole position for his signature.
The Germany international has a release clause of £52m which will reportedly drop to £44m if Leipzig do not win the Bundesliga this season, making him a relatively cheap option even in the post-coronavirus market.
Tuttosport reports that Inter are keen to reduce that sum even further, though, and could offer Lazaro as part of the deal.
The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Newcastle United, and the Magpies had been credited with an interest in making the move permanent when the transfer window reopens.
Leipzig were also in the running to sign Lazaro during the January window, though, and could be interested in seeing him included in a player-plus-cash deal for Werner, who is widely expected to leave the club anyway.
