Juventus have reportedly entered the race to sign Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old is in the final year of his contract at the Stadio Olimpico, and negotiations over an extension have so far proved fruitless.
De Vrij last week revealed that discussions are still ongoing and insisted that he is happy at the club, but the centre-back is in demand and would be free to discuss terms in January should no agreement be reached.
Juventus are expected to face competition for his signature from Liverpool, though, while Inter Milan have also been linked with a move for the Netherlands international.
Juve are understood to only be interested in signing De Vrij on a free transfer, leaving the door open for Liverpool to steal a march on their rivals should they make a cash offer in January.
