Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has described reports that the Merseyside giants have named a price for Philippe Coutinho as "interesting".
During the closing weeks of the summer transfer window, Barcelona failed in a bid to sign Coutinho, but the Catalan giants are expected to return with another approach in January.
A report in Spain has suggested that Liverpool have put a price-tag of €145m (£128m) on Coutinho's signature, but Klopp has laughed off claims that there had been any developments.
The 50-year-old told reporters: "Named a price? Interesting. There is absolutely nothing to say about this. Of course Phil is still essential for us.
"Should we stop thinking about him in the moment just because there are more stories about him in the newspapers in Spain?"
Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has said that he is unwilling to discuss anything to do with the Liverpool playmaker.
