Jurgen Klopp has reportedly urged Liverpool chiefs to get a deal over the line for Riyad Mahrez, while also retaining an interest in Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
The Reds officially lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in a £142m deal on Monday and are looking to further reinvest, having already brought in defender Virgil van Dijk this month.
Leicester City ace Mahrez and France international Lemar are the two players understood to be high on Klopp's transfer wishlist, and The Mirror suggests that both men could still arrive.
Monaco have played hardball when it comes to bids for one of their star players, but Liverpool are said to be ready to test the French club's resolve, while Klopp is keen for Mahrez to make the switch between Premier League clubs midway through the campaign.
Schalke 04 midfielder Leon Goretzka and Jean Michael Seri of Nice have also been touted as possible targets for Liverpool.
