Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for both Liverpool and Everton.
Last season, the 23-year-old made 45 appearances for the Spanish club in all competitions, but it appears that they face a fight to keep him at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
According to Cadena Cope, Rico has a €30m (£26.34m) release clause in his contract and the two Merseyside clubs are allegedly considering a bid.
However, an approach from Everton could be deemed unlikely, with the Toffees having just spent £30m to sign Jordan Pickford from Sunderland.
Liverpool also have two goalkeepers - Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius - on their books, but there has been frequent speculation regarding the number-one position at Anfield.
AC Milan have also been credited with an interest in the Spanish international.
