Liverpool have supposedly not started discussions with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe over a summer transfer, contrary to previous reports.

Liverpool have reportedly not held talks with Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe over a summer transfer.

The Reds have been regularly linked with the France international since he revealed his admiration for Jurgen Klopp last year.

Recent reports suggested that Liverpool had already started discussions with Mbappe's representatives, but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has rubbished the speculation.

Romano claims that the 22-year-old is only focused on extending his deal at the Parc des Princes, with his current contract set to expire in a little over a year's time.

Real Madrid are also rumoured to be keen to land Mbappe this summer, in addition to Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland.
