Liverpool are reportedly hopeful that they will secure the signature of Anzhi Makhachkala winger Willian, despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
While Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas has played down reports that the club are keen to sign Willian, the Brazilian is said to be in talks with both Premier League outfits.
It is believed that the 25-year-old is poised to make a decision on his future, but Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is confident that playing alongside fellow countrymen Lucas and Philippe Coutinho will convince Willian to choose Anfield, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Willian, who has been put up for sale due to Anzhi's decision to cut down on costs, is said to be rated at £30m.
