Liverpool will reportedly move for Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond in January as the Reds look to rescue their faltering season.
Redmond has been linked with a return to the Premier League following the Canaries' relegation, including a rumoured move to Southampton in the New Year.
However, the Daily Star claims that the Reds have sent scouts to assess Redmond and will bid around £10m for a player that the club's hierarchy feel can have a similar impact to Raheem Sterling.
Any Liverpool move could still face competition from the Saints, who had a bid of around £5.5m turned down by Norwich in the last transfer window.
Norwich are believed to be keen to retain Redmond's services, but are said to be afraid that they will lose the attacker as they cannot afford to match the wages on offer from Premier League teams.
