Liverpool are reportedly monitoring the situation of out-of-favour Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa ahead of a possible January move.
Gabriel, commonly known as Gabigol, was rumoured to be a target of Manchester United and Chelsea during the summer transfer window but instead joined Inter in a deal worth almost €30m (£25.4m).
However, the 20-year-old is yet to make a competitive start for the Italian outfit and has only been on the field for 20 minutes overall in Serie A.
Manager Stefano Pioli recently refused to guarantee that Gabigol would still be at the club after the January transfer window, and The Mirror reports that Liverpool are now on red alert.
The Brazil international is thought to be open to a move away from San Siro in search of more regular first-team football, although Inter are unlikely to be willing to make a significant loss on the player.
Gabigol, who was part of the Brazil squad that won Olympic gold on home soil this summer, is contracted to Inter until 2021.
