Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has allegedly emerged as a surprise loan target for Liverpool.
After moving to Spurs for approximately £64m last summer, Ndombele has struggled to make an impact, which has recently resulted in criticism from boss Jose Mourinho.
Despite the Frenchman still having over five years left on his contract, Barcelona are said to be among the clubs interested in signing the 23-year-old during the next transfer window.
However, according to Foot Mercato, the Catalan giants may face competition from Liverpool, who seemingly want to add Ndombele to their midfield options.
The report claims that the Premier League leaders are open to putting together a loan agreement with the mandatory obligation to complete a permanent deal in 2021.
Ndombele has made just 12 starts and seven substitute appearances in England's top flight this season.
