Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly maintains an interest in Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes.
During the summer transfer window, Liverpool were linked with a move for Promes before the Netherlands international eventually remained in Russia.
The two clubs would meet in the Champions League group stages - with Promes featuring in the 1-1 draw at the end of September - and it appears that the 25-year-old did enough in that fixture to remain on Klopp's radar.
According to Transfermarketweb, the Merseyside giants are ready to make an approach at the start of 2018 as they look for ways to improve their squad ahead of the second half of the season.
Liverpool already sit seven points off the pace in the Premier League table, while they have recorded two draws in the Champions League.
Last month, Klopp praised the ability of Promes, who has averaged better than a goal every two games in the Russian top flight since 2014.
