Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Diego Capel from Sporting Lisbon when the transfer window reopens in January.
The cash-strapped Portuguese outfit is willing to let the Spanish winger go for the cut price of £5m, according to The Mirror.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be monitoring the situation closely, having been linked with a bid for Capel over the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur were also linked with the player, who joined Sporting from Sevilla in 2011.
