Liverpool have reportedly targeted the addition of FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah in January, a player currently being monitored by a host of European sides including Tottenham Hotspur.
Salah has impressed Reds scouts with his performances for Basel in the Champions League, which included a goal in their 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this season.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers believes that Salah could make a positive impact on their chances of Premier League success and is mulling over a potential £15m bid when the transfer window opens, according to the Daily Mail.
Spurs showed an interest in signing Salah earlier this year but are yet to make an official offer for the 21-year-old, who has played more than 20 times for the Egyptian national team.
Basel are reportedly willing to sell the starlet in January but only if they receive an offer of around £15m, the same asking price that has proved too steep for Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas in the last 12 months.
