Liverpool have reportedly ruled out the possibility of making an approach to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain next summer.
Reports have claimed that the Reds, who made no major signings over the previous window, had lined up Mbappe as their primary transfer target.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp recently made it clear that the club would not sign Mbappe because the Frenchman was far too expensive.
According to El Desmarque, Liverpool's hierarchy do not view Mbappe as an option ahead of the next summer window.
This decision positions Real Madrid, whose manager Zinedine Zidane is desperate to sign Mbappe, as outright favourites to secure the 20-year-old's signature.
It has been suggested that Mbappe, now in his third season at PSG, is open to leaving the Parc des Princes should the club once again fail in Europe.
