Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to lock horns for the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka.
The Frenchman has featured regularly for Frankfurt this season, making 38 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with one goal and one assist.
However, after spending five years with the club, Ndicka is set to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
Ndicka, who primarily plays as a left-sided centre-back, is attracting interest from two of the Premier League's biggest clubs.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool and Tottenham are both set to make contract proposals to Ndicka at the end of the season.
The Reds are looking to strengthen their defence in the summer with uncertainty surrounding Joel Matip's future.
Matip has struggled to find his best form this season, and he has fallen down the pecking order in recent weeks, featuring in just one of Liverpool's last eight competitive games.
As a result, Jurgen Klopp could look to offload the 31-year-old, which would leave room for a new defender in the Liverpool squad.
Tottenham, meanwhile, could be left short of defensive options if Barcelona loanee Clement Lenglet does not complete a permanent move.
As well as showing an interest in Ndicka, Tottenham have also been linked with the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Kim Min-jae and Marc Guehi.
With Spurs still searching for a new permanent manager, it is currently unclear how the new boss would affect a possible Tottenham move for Ndicka.
The 23-year-old is also attracting interest from around Europe, with Barcelona, Juventus and Roma all among his admirers.
Ndicka, who has represented France at youth level, has made 177 appearances for Frankfurt, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists.
