Liverpool are reportedly ready to offer defender Mamadou Sakho a new contract at the club.
The 25-year-old centre-back has not played a single minute of the Reds' Premier League campaign so far this season, but put in an impressive display in the 1-1 draw with Bordeaux in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Despite struggling to cement his place in Brendan Rodgers' starting lineup, The Mirror reports that Liverpool will offer the Frenchman a new five-year deal with a pay rise.
The paper claims that the club will announce the news later on Friday, after Sakho voiced his commitment to the outfit after the draw in France.
Sakho could be involved as Liverpool take on Norwich City this Sunday.
